The Georgia Dome was one of finest sports entertainment facilities in the country for over two decades and CCLD Networks was a part of most of those years. Here is a just a short list of the events that the Georgia Dome hosted throughout the years.
1996 Summer Olympics | 1994 & 2000 NFL Super Bowls | 2002, 2007 & 2013 NCAA Men’s Final Four |
SEC Football Championships | Chick-fil-A Kickoff & Chick-fil-A Bowl Games | Atlanta Falcons Football |
SEC Men’s Basketball Tournaments | ACC Men’s Basketball Tournaments | WrestleMania XXVII |
CCLD Networks adapted over the years with the ever-changing technology needs for each event. Before the evolution of the cell phones, thousands of phone lines were installed for events hosted in the 1990’s. In the late 1990’s, wired Internet connectivity was installed throughout the facility. Eventually, Wi-Fi technology was implemented in the 2000’s as demand increased dramatically in a short period of time. Internet bandwidth needs increased over time from 10Mbps to 45Mbps to 100Mbps to 1Gbps.
It is amazing to think about where we started to where we finished in regards to the changing technologies over two decades. We had a great partnership with the Georgia Dome and we will miss the tremendous staff of talented co-workers. Throughout of our time working at the Dome, we met a lot of wonderful people and we wish everyone the best of luck in their future endeavors. All good things must come to an end, but it was a remarkable run of 23 years working together.” – Jim Jenkins, CCLD Networks Administration Director
