In late 2020, CCLD Networks was approached about possibly helping some long-time acquaintances with their networking needs for a new football league that was beginning play in early 2021. The league is named Fan Controlled Football and it has new and exciting ways of producing a live sporting event. Fans get to vote on the players for the teams and for the play calls during the games. All the games are held at the Infinite Energy Arena in Duluth, Georgia and broadcasted live through Twitch. Former NFL stars and other high-profile entertainers have a stake in the new league which has had an outstanding first season.
CCLD Networks assisted the management team for the league in setting up the initial internet circuits, firewalls, switches, wired and wireless internet services, various VLAN’s for different groups, etc. The planning for the network layout took time but it has been very successful in this first time run with the new league. Hopefully, CCLD Networks can assist with future seasons as the league continues to become more popular.
“This was a good opportunity for CCLD to branch out and help clients outside of the convention center environment. Overall, I think everything worked very well and it was win-win for both us and the new league with this first season.”
– Thomas Lloyd, CCLD Managing Director
